Rolando dev making new free-to-play game for iOS and Android

Rolando developer Hand Circus has revealed to The Guardian that it is in the process of building a new free-to-play title for iOS and Android set in the world of Okabu, the company's first foray into console gaming.
Hand Circus founder Simon Oliver told the UK newspaper that his company has been working on the game since October, and that he was currently "working on a prototype" for the as-yet-unnamed title.
So far, Hand Circus has approached a number of the big mobile publishers with the prototype, and expects the title to be released later in the year.

Roll back the clock
While Okabu itself received fairly mixed reviews when it was released on the PS3 in 2011, Hand Circus's reputation on smartphones shouldn't be underestimated.

Rolando have Platinum Award-winning (pictured above) was one of the first games to mark iOS out as a potential new frontier for games development, with its LocoRoco-style rolling puzzle antics a step above the Java ports that flooded the App Store in 2008.
